The picture might not do it justice. There is a wire that you drill and tuck into the wall. This makes it look more real.
I could have sworn this camera was supposed to have a phony red blinking light. Amazon needs to change the product stock photo of this item; it does indicate a silver product and it seems that most all customers receive a black one. These always look much better with red lights. Main complaints - the black plastic appearance makes it look like junk. Yet from a few paces out the camera looks plenty credible. This one however, does not. It was easy to mount, and if you can find a way to tie the supplied wire in - it contributes to credibility of the product.
Up close it does not look to reel. I bought the Panasonic pet cam for $50 some dollars, and get to actually look at my house, get the Pet cam
This looks just like a real camera and is very easy to install. The only negative is that it showed up in black even though the ad shows white.
It doesn't look real up close, but from far away, it is pretty convincing. The camera I received wasn't silver, like in the picture. It was black, with a cheap plastic look and feel.
